Generate concept options without losing the brief
Compare alternatives against site constraints instead of selecting the most polished image.
Write down the non-negotiables
List the site boundary, program, access needs, climate goals, existing features to retain, and any known constraints. Give AI this short brief before asking for ideas. If a requirement is uncertain, say so.
Ask for distinct approaches
Request three strategies with different spatial priorities, such as a connected shade network, a water-focused landscape, or a flexible community space. For each, ask for the main move, its benefits, likely tradeoffs, and missing information.
Make a comparison drawing
Translate the options into simple diagrams at the same scale. Compare them using the same criteria: circulation, comfort, maintenance, access, and fit with the project goals. AI-generated images can help communicate an atmosphere, but the plan and criteria should determine the choice.
